Yet again, I have made the last minute decision to join in with a read-athon. I wasn’t sure whether to or not with this one, as don’t know until tomorrow whether or not I’m going to be working the later part of this week, plus I’m probably going away this weekend for a little break. But ha, I woke up today and decided, why not at least try during the beginning part of this week!So I couldn’t find any reading challenges for this readathon so going to use it to hopefully finish a bunch of books that I’ve got part way through and then not got round to finishing.

The Lady Elizabeth by Alison Weir… This is a novel about Elizabeth I early life before she became queen, and so far I am loving it. I’m 100 pages in, so still have almost 400 pages to go, but I did only start it at the weekend. Alison Weir is one of my favourite authors, so really excited to see how she tells the rest of the story and how she handles some of the mysteries in Elizabeth’s life.

Deathnote vol 3&4… I’m on page 223 so have about 170 pages of this left. I really do not know why I put this down early this month, possibly only because I know I’m going to have to wait to get my hands on the next bind-up of vol 5&6.

A Darker Shade of Magic… Only on page 59 of this, so a good 320 pages left. For once I know exactly why I put this down, and it was purely because there was a new Philippa Gregory novel and then I’ve been in a historical fiction mood. However I’ve really been enjoying this, so I am excited to pick it back up.

Virtues of War by Bennett R Coles… This is a sci-fi novel that was sent to me by Titan books, which I’m currently only 30 pages into, so I have over 400 pages left. So far I am really struggling to get into this book, however I still love the idea of the synopsis,  so going to give it another good shot.

The Black Prism by Brent Weeks… I’m listening to this on Audible, and so far am really enjoying to it. Listened to about 5 hours of it yesterday and still have 16 hours to go. This is my first ever audiobook though, and have to admit I’m still finding I want to go read the book as well; is this normal?

So that’s about it, I do have a ebook of Throne of Glass that I am part way through, but I feel I have already been very ambitious with this TBR while not really knowing how the week will turn out so going to leave it at this. Looking forward to seeing how much I actually manage.
