April 2018 TBR

Okay, so this is a bit late, and to be fair I question the point of doing this one as I have fallen into quite a deep reading slump. For the past month or so I have been trying to fight it off, but it has now most definitely taken hold; meaning I have not managed to finish a book since the 18th of March! This is just not good for me, and find it quite upsetting as leaves me feeling lost. At the time of writing this I’m 5 books behind on my GoodReads schedule, so this is going to take some work to catch up on. So, I’m going to keep this TBR relatively short and simple. Just a few books that I want to finish, and a couple of sequels that I am excited for.

First of all, I really want to finish Gemina. I am over half way through and with the mixed media format, I should have this finished relatively quickly; but then Ive been reading it for almost a month so who know. After this I want to jump in to Obsidio, as I just love this series so far and want to get it all finished off. Plus I find these books easy to read so would hope they would be good for getting out of a reading slump.

Secondly I want to finish my other two currently reading books. My other current fiction read is Down Among the Sticks and Bones by Seanan McGuire, I’m only about30 pages in, but as this is only a Novella, so again, I have hope that this will be a quick little read.

Then my non-fiction read is Member of the Family by Dianne Lake; I have been absolutely loving this, and not too sure why I put it down to be fair. Such an interesting read from the point of view of one of Charles Manson’s youngest girls, I can not wait to continue on with this, I’m currently just under half way through this.

The last and final book on my TBR, as I’m not sure if I will even get this at with my lack of motivation to read lately, is the third book in the Falling Kingdoms series by Morgan Rhodes, Gathering Darkness. I have adored the first two books in this series, so I’m hoping that I’ll be able to marathon the rest of them at the end of April beginning of May, but need to conquer this reading slump first.

So there you go. What are you reading in April?
