Best Moments of 2017

Last year was a weird one for me. The end of 2016 was so rough and it pretty much rolled over into much of 2017; with relationship problems, family problems and extended health trouble, 2017 was surely one to test me. This wont be a long memorable post, but there is a couple of events that I really need to mention to remind myself there is always the positive with the negative. img_0341-3This year I turned 21, an age where you should be branching out to independence, going out of weekends and making the mistakes you learn from. Currently that’s not an option for me, but my dad made sure that my 21st was celebrated in style. Although we had to postpone it as I was way to ill over my birthday; in the Summer we went off to Disneyland Paris for a long weekend.

Even if I now regret some of the company that came with me, it was a fabulous weekend as a whole. Doing everything that one could possibly want to do at such a magical place, it truly did prove to be one of my favourite places to go! I really want to go back this year, even if just for a few days.

Moving. Okay, so this isn’t really a moment, and to be fair it was incredibly stressful, but this move has proven to be one of the best choices we made. I’m so happy in the new house, and with the extra space it is giving me so I can have more independence. Yes, on days it really tests my physical health, but its letting me have people over and not have to hide away in my bedroom as there is multiply casual rooms to relax and socialise in. Admittedly there is still a lot of unpacking and decorating left to do.

There is only one more thing that springs to mind when I think of the positive things of last year, and that was when I adopted my three gorgeous degus. They had such a rough past and were in such bad shape when I first got them home. I remember just how scared they constantly were, and so thin and weak. Now they are getting all chubby and are so happy, friendly and very adventurous. Bringing these gorgeous girls home was one of the best decisions I made last year.

So for a not very great year, I definitely had some clear cut highlights. So far this year, I just have a feeling that it is going to be a lot better!
