Well what can I say, this has going shockingly badly over the past month. Wish I could blame it on Christmas, but it happened at the beginning of the month. All I can say is that I will be hitting it hard this year!
I will give my excuses to start with- though to be fair, it is legitimate… I had flu! So I can not be held responsible for what I ate, as I had to eat to feel better. Well at least that is what I’m telling myself.
Also, something that was completely out of my control- WeightWatchers have changed their system. Its called ‘Smartpoints’ and basically means that you can eat more protein for less points, but sugar and carbs are now higher in points. I’m not a big meat person, so this doesn’t really work for me- a lot of my meals are vegetarian, eating a lot of veg and quorn.
However there is now ‘Fitpoint’ goals; this is basically a set amount of activity that you aim to do each week. This has been a lot of fun, as its very motivating.
Right so onto my attempt at weight lose… December is always hard for weight lose due to Christmas, and due to the new system, Christmas started early. My parents also don’t get on with the new system, so from about mid month, dinners became worse and worse points wise. I didn’t manage a single weigh-in due to being ill (as mentioned above), so I can’t give you figures as to how bad it was.
BUT so far this month has been GOOD!! Only put on half a pound over Christmas and a weekend in hospital- not bad I don’t think! I’ve joined the gym, and seem to have this system under control now.. Best parts, I get bacon sandwiches for Breakfast, and jelly is FREE!!! 😀
So sorry for a bit of an odd update, but back on the wagon now this month, so should be better next month…
