Getting back to Work..

Yes it has finally happened- I am back to paid employment. I have been aiming for this for quite a while, and kept hitting a brick wall when it came to getting permission; but now I have got myself a part time job working somewhere I think I am really going to enjoy. This is just another step in getting my life back together to the place I want to be; and I am so happy that this is happening, that I have an excuse to leave the house, be productive, and ha earn some extra money… Continue reading “Getting back to Work..”

April Wrap Up – May TBR

I’ve been saying it more and more each month, but April was by far the worst month of the year reading wise for me- I finished ONE book! That’s it, only one! However I would like to place the blame of only reading one book, on that one book; it was by far the best book I have read this year, and therefore nothing else has been good enough to follow it. But I’m not going to let this continue for another month- I have a plan…

Sick of Sick…

Well I am pretty sure that this is something I have mentioned in the past,  but ha ho, it has cropped up once again. It’s pretty self-explanatory really, I am FED UP of being ill. Just a quick example, is that in the past few months, I have been ill with something or other every other week! Now I don’t know about you but that is just ridiculous- and I don’t mean just like a sniffle, its been flu, water infections and dodgy stomachs; and don’t forget the tiny cuts that turn into full blown, anti-biotic needing infections… Continue reading “Sick of Sick…”

#HeadsTogether

I have been volunteering for MIND since January of this year, and was honoured when they asked me to go to Kensington Palace in order to take part in a top secret media opportunity. Mental Health is highly important and effects many people throughout the country; and now it is not just charity that are working to help and raise awareness- now three amazingly exciting VIPs are championing not only MIND but multiple mental health charities. These VIPs are the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, and Prince Harry- and I got to meet them! Continue reading “#HeadsTogether”

Introduction to Gerbil Antics

Welcome to a brand new series on my little blog. Anyone who has followed me for a while will of realised that my little gerbils are one of my favourite topics to talk about; hence the creation of Gerbil Antics. This will just be a bit of fun, updating you all on the funny little traits and habits that the boys pick up and develop; however it will not be regular, it will purely be as and when they do something interesting  -or I get some cute photos- …IMG_0070 Continue reading “Introduction to Gerbil Antics”

What if the routine of school could be a trigger to Psychosis?

I will warn you now that this is a very controversial topic… But from the start, my psychiatrist has talked to me about the development of my imagination. How it developed from being so wild and creative, to pretty much ceasing to exist in the tradition manner; when my voices and hallucinations came through, to now where part of my recovery is through the use of my imagination…  Continue reading “What if the routine of school could be a trigger to Psychosis?”

Schizophrenia update

Anyone who has been following my little internet space will know that my main inspiration for writing is my experience with Schizophrenia. I have a rare form of the illness, so when I google’d it right when I first started my recovery I found little if anything that I could directly relate to. Although my writing helps me to process what I am going through, I like to think that one day it may help someone who is going through the same thing I did. Continue reading “Schizophrenia update”

Revamping my Bedroom

I’m one of those that comes up with big elaborate ideas of how I want my room to be. Living with my parents, I only have the one room which is ‘mine’- which I can do whatever I want with. My parents have always been happy for me to redo my room pretty much whenever I want, with it being redecorated many many times. However this is the first time I was paying for all the changes, so I felt very few restrictions, and could have it how I really wanted it.
