Emojiathon Progress Diary

I can not believe it, this is my first ever month long readathon. As I have been doing for readathons lately, I’m going to blog my progress here, but unlike the others, I wont be doing it every day as that would just end up way too long. Every now and again, I will just be dropping in and writing a little update as to what I have been up to and how I’m getting on with my reading. It is a busy month for me, with my birthday and a university essay due, so I’m not putting on too much pressure. Well lets go… Continue reading “Emojiathon Progress Diary”

February Wrap Up

I cant believe how much I ended up reading in February; I actually caught up on my Goodreads reading goal which I’m super proud and happy about. For once, and I don’t think I have ever done this, I managed to read a whole trilogy of books in just one month; and I have to say that I think it might just be one of my favourite ever trilogies! So that’s get into the seven books that I read in February.  Continue reading “February Wrap Up”

The Kiss of Deception by Mary E Pearson

I seem to of fallen into a habit of reviewing the books that captivate me, and absolutely blew me away; some I expected it from, others pleasantly surprised me. This was one that I had looked forward to for a long time, but was by no means expecting to be as caught and kept awake as much as this novel did to me. Was honestly so sad when I knew I wouldn’t have any reading time for twenty four hours, and was going to have to leave the book closed. As soon as I got home I sprinted through the rest of this fabulous novel.  Continue reading “The Kiss of Deception by Mary E Pearson”

Falling Kingdoms by Morgan Rhodes

This book has been on my shelf for well over a year. I’d heard about it many times and only ever good reviews for the first book in this series, but starting a new high fantasy series is always a scary commitment. Finally, as I’m in a real fantasy mood lately, I picked this up to read the first book and make a decision whether to continue this series. Not going to lie I’ve not heard the best of things for this series as a whole; but I truly have loved the first book and have just had to order the second one ready to pick straight up. January Wrap Up

Going into the new year, I was coming off from two fantastic reading months; with my new reading challenges set, my bullet journal reading tracker set up, I was hoping to kick off the year with another fabulous reading month. Well, that just didn’t happen. After just 3 weeks, I was already behind with my GoodReads goal, which nudged me to try and catch up with some quick reads. Anyway, this is what I read during January.   Continue reading “January Wrap Up”

February TBR

February has to be a better month than January, I can not let it become a habit of not reading much as then I will never reach my goal. Therefore, I am going into February with one very easy, very clear cut plan, that should be easily do able for me. Hopefully it will boost the numbers up, as well as completing one of my reading goals of finishing series. So this is what I’m hoping to read.  Continue reading “February TBR”

Best Books of 2017

Although I didn’t read an awful lot of books in 2017, I sure did read some really good ones. For this post, I’m going to mention both the top books in terms of ratings as well as the top ones that I remember. I feel its so important to put the best books from what has stuck with me, as that is what matters I believe. A book shouldn’t just end when you finish it, it should be able to stick with you for the year.  Continue reading “Best Books of 2017”
